Timothy Fechner is a visionary leader bringing over 10 years of experience in establishing operational optimisation across the commodity industry in both national and international operations. He has been recognized for talents in strategy development and corporate vision, and has a diversified background in operations and management. Tim’s entrepreneurial mindset, creative problem solving, international cooperation and a relationship based win-win negotiation style is the platform on which Empire Chrome has been founded. He offers innovative solutions to operational challenges and leverages decisiveness to implement results while minimizing risk and maximising performance. Tim is the bridge that links Africa to China and is the CEO of Empire Chrome.

Desmond Godfrey served as the CEO of Superior Mining since 1989. He has over 30 years of experience as the Lead Project Manager of several large foreign investment projects on behalf of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and other international clientele investing in South Africa.  Through his career, Desmond has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing operations in a diverse range of industries in the harsh African landscape. He has consistently completed projects ahead of schedule and under budget proving his value to such clients as Sibanya Gold Mines and Harmony Gold as well as MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and Huawei in the telecommunications industry. Numerous projects that can be seen around South Africa today are the result of Desmond’s determination. He is excited to apply his knowledge, experience and energy as the Head of Operations for Empire Chrome.

Rael Zimerman has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degree. He qualified as an attorney in 1997, and has been practicing as an attorney for 25 years. Rael runs his own law firm in Fairmount, Johannesburg, specialising in commercial work and litigation. In addition to law, Rael has performed comprehensively in negotiating and drafting various business contracts and service agreements including finance agreements, acquisition agreements, and joint venture agreements. Rael has extensive understanding of the difficult South African landscape and provides legal counsel in future asset development, joint venture acquisitions, mining charter and mining law, Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) compliance, and other governmental regulatory and compliance requirements for Empire Chrome. Rael is currently a director and shareholder of Empire Chrome Trading.
